Costs

Running your own website needn't be a costly affair and in terms of marketing it is a very cost effective method of reaching out to your customer base. The final cost relates to time and resources used, the very things that your business can be short of.

Website Design

As a guide, a site like the one you are looking at now would cost somewhere in the region of £1,000 to produce. The day to day upkeep of it is very efficient so you won't have to spend hours every week trying to keep the information displayed current and up to date.

Web Hosting

You might think that the free space that came with your broadband package will be good enough to host your website but sadly it will prove to be woefully inadequate when it comes to a professional operation. The resources that you need will determine the annual cost but for most needs, the basic hosting package is more than adequate. The annual cost of the basic package which includes the domain registration fee is £80.

Maintenance & Management

The cost of keeping your website in peak condition is £25 per month. This service includes health monitoring, database backups and monthly traffic reports.

Startup Package

In preparation for your new website you will need a domain name registration, email accounts and of course the site needs to be commissioned and tested. George Kennedy can take care of all those things for a one off fee of £140 and that includes the domain registration fee!

Small Business Deal

To help the small business, George Kennedy has a way of spreading the initial cost. The website is designed and commissioned for 50% of the cost and the balance is paid monthly with the web hosting package on contract for two years. In the example above, that would mean an initial payment of £720 plus 24 monthly payments of £45. After two years the hosting fee only would apply should you wish to continue.
